Huge capital transport projects have just reached the finish line

TPO - According to the Ministry of Construction, among the 80 projects that were started and inaugurated this morning (April 19), there are 40 projects in the transportation sector, with a total investment of more than 445,000 billion VND.

One of the traffic projects with a very large total investment. Specifically:

Domestic Passenger Terminal T3 Project - Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City: Total investment of nearly 11,000 billion VND. Tan Son Nhat T3 Terminal Project started construction at the end of 2022 and was completed 2 months ahead of schedule. Terminal T3 has a capacity to serve 20 million passengers/year, serving 7,000 passengers/peak hour, contributing to increasing the total operating capacity of Tan Son Nhat International Airport to 50 million passengers/year, promising to bring more ventilation and convenience to passengers.

North-South Expressway component project, Van Phong - Nha Trang section: The project started construction in January 2023, with a total investment of more than 11,800 billion VND. This project is more than 83km long and has completed more than 70km to date. After being technically opened to traffic this morning, the expressway will be put into operation from 6am on April 20.

The Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway has a total investment of over VND9,700 billion, is over 54 km long and passes through Ha Tinh province. In the phased phase, this expressway has a scale of 4 lanes, a speed of 80km/h. After completion, the expressway will have a scale of 6 lanes with a design speed of 100km/h.

The Bung - Van Ninh expressway project has a total investment of more than VND 9,300 billion, nearly 49km long. Or the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi expressway project started construction in January 2023, with a total investment of more than VND 7,600 billion.

It is known that the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang and Bung - Van Ninh expressway projects started construction in January 2023, put into operation on the main route on April 26 and completed the project before June 30.

Also this morning, the Ministry of Construction held a closing ceremony for the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project (Chau Thanh, Tien Giang). It is known that the bridge was started in March 2022, with a total investment of more than 6,800 billion VND, with a total length of nearly 18km.

The Ministry of Construction and localities are determined to complete 3,000km of highways this year under the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister; striving to complete 5,000km of highways by 2030 according to the target set by the Party Central Committee and the National Assembly.

Regarding aviation infrastructure, many key projects such as Long Thanh International Airport, Tan Son Nhat Airport expansion, Noi Bai Airport have been and are being implemented with a spirit of urgency. Some projects continue to be started such as Terminal T2 of Dong Hoi Airport, Ca Mau Airport expansion to meet development requirements and improve domestic and international connectivity.
