In addition to a number of projects such as the Children's Palace and the elevated railway that have been inaugurated, bridge and road projects, hospitals, etc. are being actively completed in the final stages to be put into operation in time for the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
The project to build Hanoi Children's Hospital (Yen Nghia Ward, Ha Dong District) with a total investment of nearly 800 billion VND is built on a land area of 67,863m2, including a 6-storey building with 2 units (1A and 1B). This is one of the projects that is being accelerated, expected to be inaugurated before October 10 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
On September 26, the project management board continued to urge relevant units to deploy construction and install equipment to complete the project to ensure safety, quality and progress.
According to the design, Unit 1A has an area of 17,316m2 including the Examination Department (with the capacity to receive more than 500 examinations/day); emergency areas, technical and paraclinical services; administrative area. Unit 1B has an area of 11,797m2 including inpatient treatment and integrated services.
Hanoi Children's Palace is built in the CV1 Park and Lake Area (Nam Tu Liem District) with a total investment of more than 1,300 billion VND with items such as: 800-seat theater, 3D - 4D cinema (200 seats), 500-seat gymnasium, 10-lane swimming pool...
The project was completed and put into use with the goal of creating a cultural and sports center for children in the capital.
The extended Le Quang Dao Street (Ha Dong District) is also urgently completing the final items to open to traffic before October 10. After nearly 2 years of construction, this traffic project with a total investment of 700 billion VND was formed. In particular, the intersection from Thang Long Avenue to Dai Linh Street (Me Tri Ward) is almost completed.
To complete the Le Quang Dao extended road, many workers, machines and equipment were mobilized to urgently construct the project.
The project to build a 1.5km long, 40m wide road, connecting Nguyen Van Cu Street to the end of the resettlement area of Ngoc Thuy Ward (Long Bien District), started construction in 2018 with a total investment of more than 1,220 billion VND. Up to now, it has taken shape and is waiting for the day of opening to traffic.
On September 26, workers painted road lines, cleared drainage points and completed final items.
The route will help smooth traffic from Dong Tru bridge through Thuong Thanh, Ngoc Thuy, Ngoc Lam, Bo De, Long Bien, Thach Ban wards to Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway. This route is expected to be opened to traffic in the coming days.
Previously, on September 20, the City also recognized the project: "Elevated section, Nhon - Cau Giay" of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station pilot urban railway construction project as a project to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
The elevated Nhon – Hanoi Railway Station metro line officially came into operation on August 8. This route is 12.5km long, with 8 elevated stations and 4 underground stations; of which, the elevated section (Nhon – Cau Giay) is 8.5km long and the underground section (Cau Giay – Hanoi Railway Station) is 4km long. In May 2023, after 3 adjustments, the total investment of this project increased to about 1.3 billion Euros; the implementation period is from 2009 – 2027.
