British travel blogger Rose asserts this in her article Solo travel in Vietnam: Everything to know!. Article about what to know when traveling alone in Vietnam on her blog Where Goes Rose? in February.
“Vietnam is the third country I have traveled to alone, after Myanmar and Laos,” Rose said about her trip to Vietnam in 2015.
After that, she returned to Vietnam many times. In 2018, she lived in Vietnam for many months.
Traveling alone in Vietnam is safe and easy
“I don't know why it took me so long to write this article, but maybe because Vietnam is such a safe and easy place to travel, I didn't feel the need to," Rose explained.
In the article, she analyzes the advantages of traveling alone in Vietnam, including that many people here speak English; SIM cards and data are easily available. Vietnam has a vibrant hostel market, with many tours and activities, so it is easy to meet people. Prices are very affordable, and travelers do not have to stay in a shared dormitory if they do not want to. Locals are very friendly and often want to talk to tourists to practice their English.
Additionally, according to Rose, Vietnam also has a very clear “tourist route” along the coast, meaning that many travelers will be traveling the same way as you, so it will be easy to meet and make friends.
Next, Rose shares the places she thinks are most suitable for solo travelers in Vietnam, including Hoi An, Hue , Hanoi, Sa Pa, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Meanwhile, Canadian blogger Hannah Logan also shared on her blog Eat Sleep Breathe Travel that traveling alone is very common in Vietnam. Travelers easily meet other people who are traveling like them.
In the article Solo travel in Vietnam: Tips and what to expect sharing Vietnam travel tips and things to know, Hannah also said that Vietnam has famous "routes" for backpackers, including Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat, Hoi An, Hue, Sa Pa, Hanoi and Ha Long Bay.

This creates an advantage for tourists because they can easily meet fellow travelers to the places they want to go, and at the same time, destinations also develop many services to serve the needs of tourists.
Hannah herself, when traveling to Vietnam in 2016, also met and joined a group of travel companions like that.
The Canadian female tourist said that when she came to Vietnam, communicating in English also caused her many obstacles, but she believes that at the present time, language barriers are no longer a concern for tourists coming to Vietnam.
Although Hannah's solo travel in Vietnam also encountered some unpleasant events such as being treated rudely by men, her hotel roommate having her bag snatched..., she still affirmed "I love the experience of traveling alone in Vietnam!" and recommended others to go.
Vietnam has what I want
Meanwhile, “I wanted a place with nice weather, interesting culture, delicious food, friendly people and lots to see in a week” is the reason why Lucy Handley chose to travel alone to Vietnam.
In the article I'm a solo female traveler from Europe. Here's why I chose to go to Vietnam published on CNBC last July, Lucy tells about her journey from Ho Chi Minh City, down to the Mekong Delta and a week's vacation in Phu Quoc.
Even though she came to Vietnam alone, this European female tourist found it quite easy to find tours around Ho Chi Minh City during the day, visit famous buildings in the city, experience sitting on plastic chairs on the sidewalk eating bread...
“Although I only stayed for a short time, I fell in love with the grand architecture, history and excitement of Ho Chi Minh City. The city is incredibly vibrant, but I found the people here to be extremely friendly,” Lucy wrote.

Next, she had a 2-night trip to the West, where she sat on a boat under the cool green coconut trees, watched people make coconut candy, visited Cai Be floating market...
Since she was only in Vietnam for a week, Lucy chose to travel between nearby locations, and the final stop of her solo trip in Vietnam was Phu Quoc.
Choosing a beach resort, Lucy enjoys the tropical island with its coconut-lined beaches, occasionally wandering down to the beach when it gets too hot, or relaxing by the pool with a cool cucumber martini.
