Choosing the latest dresses, scarves with many beads and pink woolen tassels, the Dao Thanh Y girls in Ba Che ( Quang Ninh ) shine brightly on the National Great Unity Day.
On November 10, Son Hai village, Nam Son commune, Ba Che district (Quang Ninh) organized the National Great Unity Day. This is home to many ethnic groups, but the majority are still Dao Thanh Y people.
According to custom, Thanh Y Dao women must learn to embroider clothes for themselves and their husbands to wear every day. They embroider by hand the set to wear on their wedding day. If the daughter-in-law is not Thanh Y Dao, the mother-in-law must embroider a set to wear on the wedding day.
Nowadays, in their daily activities, the Thanh Y Dao women in Ba Che rarely wear their traditional costumes. It seems that these elaborate costumes are only reserved for important events, such as the National Unity Day.
This morning (November 10), Ms. Ly Thi Hai (sitting) happily went to the traditional house of the Dao community in Son Hai village, Nam Son commune, Ba Che district to attend the Great Unity festival. For Ms. Hai, this is a great day of joy, so she needs to prepare more carefully. That excited atmosphere spread to the Dao Thanh Y girls in Son Hai village. Edit your page before entering the meeting. Dao Thanh Y women's costumes often have clusters of tassels, made of beaded threads, pink threads, or interspersed with glitter threads. Just seeing the pink tassels looming in the distance, you can immediately recognize a Dao Thanh Y woman. Performers and festival attendees alike wear the same colorful costumes. The two corners of the scarf and the two sides of the collar are decorated with many beads and clusters of pink woolen tassels. The sleeves are decorated with red and navy blue floral fabric - this is the unique highlight of the Dao Thanh Y women's costume. The Thanh Y Dao women maintain the custom of wearing shorts without patterns, only reaching half the knee, dyed indigo, with a strip of sky blue fabric sewn into the legs. The belt is woven from red thread mixed with brown and banana green thread, with long red tassels at both ends. The elaborate costumes did not make the girls participating in the stick pushing game less enthusiastic. And with his team tried his best to compete in tug of war during the festival.
