2023 has become a memorable turning point for me when I became the valedictorian of the entire course. That is the result of my tireless efforts in proactively learning and acquiring knowledge over the years.

Currently, I am a data scientist at Techcombank Hanoi. This job is suitable for my major (computer science) and also brings a significant income to help me stabilize my life right after graduating.

Before that, to get the job I wanted, right from my third year of study, I determined the path I would pursue and proactively sought job opportunities that matched my expertise through the network of businesses cooperating with the school, participating in seminars, job forums...

From my own experience, I believe that suitable job opportunities for students are always open if they know how to set goals right from the first years of entering the university. That is equipping yourself with good background knowledge; beautifying your profile with high scores to attract employers; accumulating practical experience through internships... Besides diligence, patience, self-study ability, problem solving, you also need to practice soft skills, English and especially passion for the job you pursue.

My dream of becoming a global citizen gradually became a reality when the study abroad scholarship packages called my name one after another in 2023. It was a great result for the years I spent trying my best in the journey to realize my dream of "reaching the big sea".

Confident in my choice, I quickly integrated into the environment at Agnes Scott College - Atlanta, Georgia (USA). I chose to study both business and economics because of my passion and desire to have more job opportunities in the modern trend. These are also the "hot" majors of the school that are attracting the attention and choice of many students.

Nguyen Phi Ha An - International student at Agnes Scott College - Atlanta, Georgia (USA).

To develop students' abilities, teachers only play a guiding role, so we have to explore and learn everything ourselves. This is quite new. In addition to my own efforts, I was also lucky to receive a lot of help and support from international friends, professors, and school counselors, so my academic performance maintained a GPA of 4.0.

In addition to studying, in this environment, I also get to learn more about many cultures around the world. I also participate in many activities to practice my skills and promote the beautiful image of my country. In March 2024, I was sponsored to travel to Stockholm - Sweden to experience a week of studying, exploring and participating in a workshop on global economic issues.

I am looking forward to this opportunity to exchange and learn with students from other countries. I will also try to take advantage of every opportunity to accumulate more knowledge and skills, improve myself to start a career and hope to contribute to my homeland and country in the future.

Although I still have many regrets about my exam scores, winning second place in the national Chemistry competition in my first time participating in the national knowledge arena in 2023 has brought me great joy and happiness. This achievement also helps me to be more confident on the path of conquering knowledge to achieve my future goals .

Tran Viet Ban - Grade 12 Chemistry, Ha Tinh Specialized High School.

As the youngest child in a large family in My Loc commune (Can Loc), I understand better than anyone the hardships of my parents on each field to save up to raise us for school. My desire to establish myself and build a career through knowledge was fueled by the love of my parents, the teachings of my teachers, especially the inspirational lessons of my Chemistry teacher since grade 8. I have nurtured the dream and goal of entering a specialized school in the province and winning a national prize since that day.

All of these have become the luggage for a student from a poor rural area like me to confidently keep up with friends at the top quality school in Ha Tinh. The example of the seniors whose names are recorded on the school's traditional golden board, along with the ideal learning environment and the dedication of the teachers have helped me broaden my knowledge. That is also the motivation for me to be determined to put my name on the national excellent student team.

After winning the second prize in the national Chemistry competition in 2023, my friends and I have focused our efforts on the National Excellent Student Competition in the early spring of 2024 with a new goal. Along with that, I am also accumulating knowledge and skills every day to realize my dream of becoming a Chemistry teacher, to continue spreading the desire to learn and the desire to conquer knowledge to generations of students like the way teachers have supported me.

For me, 2023 was a quite successful year when I was honored to be a "3 good" student. In addition, the smart door lock system project that I and a friend implemented won first prize in the Provincial High School Science and Technology Competition.

This project of ours, although the creative idea is not new, because the product has been present in the market of other countries, but the desire for Vietnamese people to use Vietnamese products at reasonable prices has given us more determination in the implementation process. Then, under the companionship and facilitation of the school and the Physics teacher, I have satisfied my passion, creativity, and applied the knowledge I have learned into practice.

This achievement, along with my efforts in studying and practicing during 3 years of high school, will help me have more opportunities when choosing an engineering major at some universities across the country. However, I still want to test myself with the knowledge I have learned to realize my dream of entering university through the high school graduation exam. Therefore, these days, I am focusing on preparing for the last important exam of my student life. Pressure is inevitable, but I am trying every day to turn it into motivation in the journey to open the door to the future.

And for me, the Provincial High School Science and Technology Competition is not only a beautiful memory but also a motivation for me to continue my passion for creativity in the journey of turning ideas into useful projects for life.
