(PLVN) - On the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025, Da Nang City welcomed thousands of international tourists to visit and travel. Many tourists were surprised by the beauty of the Han River and the bridges in the city.
On the morning of January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025), the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City coordinated with Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company and the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port (Da Nang City Border Guard Command) to welcome more than 800 American tourists on the Crystal Symphony cruise ship.
The welcoming ceremony took place solemnly and enthusiastically at the wharf in the cool but favorable weather without rain, with lion dances to welcome and blessings from the God of Wealth. Leaders of the Department of Tourism, the Tourism Promotion Center, and the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port presented flowers, traditional conical hats, and souvenirs to the first visitors of the year.

It is known that the Crystal Symphony ship departed from Singapore on January 18, passing through Thailand and Cambodia before arriving in Vietnam. In Da Nang City, tourists will visit famous destinations such as Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, Cham Sculpture Museum, and My Khe Beach.
Immediately afterwards, at 9am - 10am the same day, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City continued to coordinate with the Central Airport Authority, Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, and representatives of airlines to welcome visitors to Da Nang International Airport on the first day of the new year of At Ty. Visitors were excited to enjoy the special lion dance performance and receive special gifts with the strong flavor of Da Nang such as conical hats, ginger jam, grilled coconut cakes, sesame seeds, etc.

On the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025, Da Nang International Airport welcomed more than 140 domestic and international flights, estimated at more than 20,000 passengers to Da Nang, of which the number of international flights is expected to be 65, estimated at about 10,000 passengers of Vietnam Airlines (Narita (Japan) - Da Nang); Vietjet Air (Incheon (Korea) - Da Nang), Air Asia (Bangkok (Thailand) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) - Da Nang), China Airlines (Taipei (Taiwan - China) - Da Nang), Hongkong Express (Hong Kong (China) - Da Nang)... bringing international visitors to Da Nang for sightseeing.

The city organized fireworks displays at 3 locations: Bach Dang Street Square; the area in front of Lien Chieu District Administrative Center; and the Hoa Vang District Administrative Center, attracting many locals and foreign tourists to come and admire.
