The group said it carried out two drone attacks on key locations in the southern Israeli port city of Eilat, launched a "swarm" of drones on two different targets in the Jewish state, and launched missiles at two other locations.

However, the group did not specify the locations of the attacks or the number of casualties caused by these incidents.

The group's attacks came shortly after Israeli airstrikes on the outskirts of the Lebanese capital Beirut killed Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

Since the Israel-Hamas conflict escalated in Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Islamic resistance group has carried out many raids on Israeli and US targets in the area to show support for the Palestinians there.

The group also stepped up military activities amid continued Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon.

Previously, the Islamic resistance group in Iraq used UAVs to attack the military base of the Golani brigade (Israel) in the disputed territories with Palestine.

However, the Israeli military said Tel Aviv successfully intercepted a UAV launched from Iraq and there were no casualties.
