The highest-scoring group of majors requires no less than 28 points.

Based on the score distributions of the 2024 high school graduation exam and the TSA aptitude test, as well as the trends in student application preferences, the Admissions and Career Guidance Board of Hanoi University of Science and Technology has developed a preliminary forecast of the cut-off scores for 64 training programs at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Accordingly, based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores, the most attractive majors will have a cutoff score of no less than 28, while the lowest-scoring majors will have a cutoff score similar to previous years, around 20 points or more.

The group of majors predicted to have the highest cutoff scores belongs to the field of information technology, specifically: computer science (IT1), computer engineering (IT2), and data science and artificial intelligence (IT-E10). For many years now, the predicted cutoff scores for this group of majors have consistently been among the highest at Hanoi University of Technology.

The group of majors with the lowest predicted cut-off scores, ranging from 20 to 22.75 points, includes environmental engineering (EV1), resource and environmental management (EV2), advanced training in materials science and engineering (MS-E3), and textile technology (TX1). The predicted cut-off scores for these majors in 2024 show a slight increase of 0.75 points compared to the 2023 forecast.

The predicted cut-off scores for both admission methods, based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores and the aptitude test scores for 64 training programs, are as follows:

Hanoi University of Science and Technology also sets a minimum admission score of 20 for all its training programs.

It is known that in 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will recruit 9,260 students through 3 methods, including: talent-based admission (approximately 20%); admission based on the results of a thinking skills assessment test (approximately 30%); and admission based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores (approximately 50%).
