In their first appearance at the international FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship 2025 (FTC 2025), the GreenAms 24751 team from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (Hanoi) made two achievements. First, the Vietnamese student team and their alliance won the Edison group - considered the most competitive group among the four groups of the tournament, before becoming the runner-up (in an alliance with an American team and an Indian team) of the FTC 2025 Robotics World Championship.

Specifically, in the Edison group, with a resilient fighting spirit and sharp competition strategy, GreenAms 24751 and two allied teams overcame a series of "tough" opponents to become the group champion, bringing home the first FTC World Cup for Vietnam.

Entering the knockout round of the tournament, the alliance of Amsterdam School students played bravely, coordinated well, and advanced to the final match and won the title of Finalist Alliance - FTC World Runner-up 2025.

Engineer Do Hoang Son, a STEM expert, commented that this is an excellent result, even a breakthrough, unprecedented at the student robot club level.

“It can be said that this is the most outstanding achievement of a school-based robot team to date in the Vietnamese robotics community. Because the FTC 2025 Robot World Championship is one of the largest and most difficult robot tournaments in the world for high school students,” said Mr. Son.

Ms. Tran Thuy Duong, Principal of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, said that this victory of the students is a wonderful gift on the occasion of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted's 40th anniversary.

“This is a proud and inspiring congratulation from a generation of students who are making the school's name shine on the world intellectual map,” said Ms. Duong.

GreenAms 24751 team of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (Hanoi) won the runner-up position with the alliance.

According to Ms. Duong, the achievement at the FTC 2025 international arena is the 'sweet fruit' of many years of persistent and enthusiastic efforts of the school's teachers and students, the dedicated support of parents and the support of all levels. "This is the motivation for the school to continue developing educational activities in the field of Robotics in particular, and science and technology in general, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation," said Ms. Duong.
