A group of brave and quick-witted middle school students saved two children from the raging water.

(Dan Tri) - With quick wits and bravery, a group of middle school students in Quang Binh saved the lives of two children struggling in the midst of rushing water.

On the afternoon of October 24, news from the People's Committee of Thuong Trach Commune, Bo Trach District (Quang Binh), the locality coordinated with Bo Trach Boarding Ethnic School, proposed the District Youth Union and Provincial Youth Union to reward 5 brave students who saved a drowning person.

Previously, a group of 6th and 8th grade students from Bo Trach Boarding Ethnic School, including Dinh Phuong, Dinh Kheo, Dinh Duc, Di Ca Ngu, and Dinh Beo, were playing in a stream near the school when they heard cries for help and saw two children floating in the rushing water.

Dinh Phuong immediately called her friends to follow her and jumped into the stream, swimming out to save the people. However, due to the strong current, Phuong could not reach the two children. Seeing that, the remaining 4 friends quickly ran downstream, choosing a favorable position to swim out to save the people.

The bravery and quick-wittedness of the group of students saved two children from drowning, Dinh Nghi and Dinh Minh, students of Thuong Trach Primary School No. 1.

After the incident, the Bo Trach Boarding Ethnic High School Union commended the brave actions of the five students mentioned above.
