Explosive - climax - couldn't be more wonderful... were the emotions of more than 8,000 audiences present at the 8Wonder stage on the evening of July 22 at the Vinpearl Nha Trang tourist complex, Vietnam.
The top performances of the world's top superstar Charlie Puth and 7 Vietnamese "hitmakers" designed and "tailored" specifically for 8Wonder completely conquered and satisfied all the senses of audiences of all ages. In particular, "musical prodigy" Charlie Puth had a wonderful experience in his first time coming to Vietnam.
From 3-12pm on July 22, 2023, the 8Wonder international mega-music festival with unprecedented scale and class brought more than 8,000 audiences to sublimate in the "limitless emotional wonder - Infinity Wonder". For more than 6 continuous hours, VinWonders Nha Trang exploded with top-notch music and a series of entertainment and fun experiences... the most novel in the world.
Charlie Puth - the world's leading musician and singer, known as the "billion-view star", came to Vietnam for the first time as the center of attention of the music festival. The setlist of more than 75 minutes starting at 9:00 p.m. took thousands of 8Wonder audiences through many emotions with a collection of 21 "hits". Notably, this is a one-of-a-kind setlist designed and "tailored" specifically for the 8Wonder stage.
Starting with “Charlie be quiet”, Charlie Puth made fans restless with his interesting “storytelling”, melodies and versatile vocals. A series of “hits” that young people know by heart such as “Attention”, “Forget you”, “Light Switch”, “Boy”, “That“s not how it works”, “How long”, “One call away”, especially “We don"t talk anymore” - the song that Charlie Puth introduced as a gift for music lovers in Vietnam... were also recreated with the latest and most unique arrangements exclusively for the 8Wonder stage.
As usual, the image of the multi-talented musician and singer Charlie Puth cannot be without the companionship of the piano. On the 8Wonder stage, the melodies resounded with the fingers dancing on the piano keys, the flexible voice transformed, making thousands of people below lost in the endless musical journey. In particular, the ability to sing "live" like "swallowing the disc" - the international star level of the 9x "musical prodigy" resonated with the top sound system of 8Wonder, pushing the audience's emotions to the peak.
In particular, Charlie Puth's spontaneous, humorous yet sincere, and unique style of leading connected the 21 songs throughout the performance in an interesting and emotional way.
Closing the “couldn’t be more wonderful” performance of “Prince of love songs” Charlie Puth were the touching melodies of the hit that every audience knows by heart. The impressive infinity ocean stage with the giant jellyfish symbol, combined with the magical effects of a real-virtual ocean paradise directly connected to the beautiful Nha Trang bay. The excellent sound quality was invested heavily according to Charlie Puth's world tour standards, bringing the music into the middle of the immense waves. All of this creates a super-class, poetic and beautiful music festival that has never been seen before in the world.
Before Charlie Puth’s top performance, the “hitmakers” of contemporary Vietnamese music also led the audience on a musical journey of “unlimited emotional wonders” with more than 30 songs representing the unique musical colors of each artist. All songs were newly arranged, mashup, and medleyed in the unique 8Wonder version.
“Musical storyteller” Ha Anh Tuan, who is famous for his deep, contemplative love songs, has now surprised thousands of audiences with his worship-style remix of “Thăng Mây Em Nhớ Anh”, or the vibrant, funky melody combined with electric music of “12 Giờ”.
As expected, “entertainment queen” Ho Ngoc Ha always makes the audience excited with her unforgettable performances of “Please forgive me”, “Keep me in love” and a medley of hit songs that have been associated with the singer’s name for many years. In particular, the audience is extremely excited and delighted with the hit that has been making waves recently, “Lonely on the sofa” with a new and unique remix exclusively for the 8Wonder stage.
The biggest surprise probably came from Ha Anh Tuan and MONO with an extremely impressive combination through a series of vibrant songs specially mixed for the 8Wonder music festival: "Mot Dem Say - Cu Chill Thoi - Waiting for you - Thang tu la loi noi lie cua em". The two musical personalities seem to be opposite but they work together very well, creating emotional sublimation for thousands of audiences.
MONO also made the audience dance non-stop with vibrant remixes of "Em là", "Anh không thể" and of course, the "most successful song of 2022" stirring up the Vietnamese music charts "Waiting for you".
The entire Wonder Square seemed to be on fire with the beautiful dances and captivating performances of the handsome rapper and singer HIEUTHUHAI through songs such as "Cua", "Khong the say", "Ngu mot minh", "Ve sat".
“Rap queen” Tlinh and her dance troupe rocked the 8Wonder stage with a series of cool hits remixed with the summer concept “Ghe iu dau cua em”, “Siren” and the mashups “Cypher & Mat xanh”, “Gai doc don & Xich them chut”.
The colorful super music festival 8Wonder also brings the sweet colors of "candy princess" Amee with remixes of the tropical summer colors full of energy "Love then love, don't love then love", "Where does your house belong" and the mashup "Black ice without sugar & Miraculous friendship".
Not only does it continuously bring experiences of "unlimited emotional wonders - Infinity Wonder" from the quintessence of world and Vietnamese music, the super music festival 8Wonder also brings a series of resonant activities that are rare in any music festival.
While waiting for the appearance of their idols, thousands of spectators enjoyed entertainment activities such as checking in with installation art-style miniatures, practicing at the art workshop, reading tarot cards, drawing henna, interacting with vibrant led drum dancers, enjoying multinational cuisine...
Right outside the 8Wonder music square is the trendy entertainment space of VinWonders Nha Trang. This is a place that brings a vibrant festive atmosphere with more than 100 top games at "The island water park with the largest number of games in Asia".
Notably, at the event, many visitors were excited to visit the VinFast electric vehicle ecosystem display area and test drive electric cars, electric motorbikes, and see the company's latest electric bicycle model.
