Many incentives for businesses investing in information technology

On the morning of April 18, speaking at the working session between the City People's Committee and LG CNS Vietnam Co., Ltd., Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that the city has approved the plan to exploit the information infrastructure assets of the Danang Software Park - Software Park No. 2 (phase 1); in which specific regulations are made on the rental price through asset auction or not through auction for strategic partners in the fields of semiconductor chips and artificial intelligence.

In the case of being a strategic partner of the city according to the provisions of Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on the organization of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city, enterprises will enjoy many incentives and diverse support. Currently, enterprises operating in the field of information technology are given the highest incentives: preferential tax rate of 10% for 15 years, tax exemption for 4 years, and 50% reduction of tax payable for the next 9 years.

Regarding import tax, enterprises are exempted from import tax on imported goods to create fixed assets; imported raw materials, supplies, and components for production according to the provisions of the law on export tax and import tax. Da Nang also prepares the best infrastructure with High-Tech Parks, Concentrated Information Technology Parks in operation, implementing investment policies, in addition to fiber optic infrastructure, internet, electricity, data, etc. to best serve enterprises and investors.

(LG Group - Korea), LG CNS provides cloud computing services and solutions to help businesses expand their computing and storage capabilities, provide automation and digitalization solutions for industrial production processes; and develop smart city and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to improve quality of life and sustainable growth. In Da Nang, LG CNS is studying investment environment conditions to establish a Research and Development Center at Da Nang Software Park No. 2.
