According to statistics from Tuoi Tre Online , there are many cases where candidates with a university entrance exam score of 24 points or higher failed high school graduation due to failing grades.
Lost chance of university admission
A series of other candidates failed despite their very high test scores. This means that the candidates were officially eliminated from the list of candidates admitted to the early admission methods of universities (if any).
Tuoi Tre Online statistics show that high school students take three exams in math, literature, foreign language and one combined exam, excluding independent candidates.
Among them, a candidate in Hanoi had a university entrance exam score of 25.75 in literature - history - geography but a foreign language score of 1. Thus, if he were a high school student, this candidate would have failed and failed high school graduation this year.

Similarly, another candidate in Hanoi also had a combined literature - history - geography score of 25.75 but a foreign language score of 1.
The candidate from Hai Duong scored 25.75 points in the literature, geography and civics exam, but only 1 point in the foreign language exam. Candidates with failing scores not only failed to graduate from high school but were also officially eliminated from the university entrance exam this year.
Not only social science candidates but many natural science candidates also received a very unfortunate failing score.
Notably, a candidate in Hai Phong had a combined math-biology-English score of 26.4 but failed the physics test in the natural science exam.

Another candidate in Nghe An had a math-physics-chemistry admission score of 24.8 but failed in biology. Meanwhile, the number of candidates with admission scores of 21-22 in the combination but failed was quite a lot.
English has the most failing scores
In this year’s high school graduation exam, English once again caused many candidates to fail. This was the exam subject with the highest number of failing scores, with 145 candidates scoring 1 or less and 14 candidates scoring 0 points.
The surprise this year is that geography has a very high number of failing scores.
Civic education is the subject with the least number of failing scores. However, there are still 33 candidates with civic education scores below 1, and 32 candidates with 0 points.
