At 8:15 PM on March 31st, the meteorological agency reported that the highest temperatures reached 39°C to nearly 40°C in many areas on the last day of March.

Many places experienced temperatures of 39-40 degrees Celsius.

According to meteorological experts, heatwaves have occurred over a wide area from the Northwest region to Thua Thien Hue and many places in the North Central region; at the same time, the heatwave in the South has also extended to Quang Nam and Quang Ngai (temperatures in Phu Yen reached 37.5 degrees Celsius).

According to temperature data from the General Department of Meteorology and Hydrology up to the evening of March 31st, the highest temperatures caused by the heatwave today, March 31st, across the country are as follows:

Muong Lay (Son La) 36°C, Phieng Lanh (Son La) 37°C, Song Ma (Son La) 38.8°C, Yen Chau (Son La) 38.5°C, Phu Yen (Son La) 39.5°C, Hoa Binh City 36°C, Mai Chau (Hoa Binh) 39.7°C, Hoi Xuan (Thanh Hoa) 38°C, Con Cuong (Nghe An) 38.3°C, Tay Hieu (Nghe An) 37.6°C, Tuong Duong (Nghe An) 38.3°C, Quy Chau (Nghe An) 37.9°C, Do Luong (Nghe An) 39.2°C, Vinh City 38.1°C, Ky Anh (Ha Tinh) 37.1°C, Ha Tinh City 37°C, Huong Khe (Ha Tinh) 38.6°C, Ba Don ( Quang Binh ) 38.8°C Temperatures in the following areas recorded highs: Dong Hoi (Quang Binh) 39.2°C, Tuyen Hoa (Quang Binh) 39.1°C, Dong Ha (Quang Tri) 38.6°C, Hue City 37°C, Nam Dong (Thua Thien Hue) 37.6°C…

However, the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting and several meteorological experts predict that the intensity of the heatwave in the North and Central regions will be even more severe on April 1-4, peaking on April 2-4. Therefore, people in these areas need to proactively find solutions to adapt to this early heatwave.
