Taking place from December 18 to 21, this is a series of important international science and technology events, where many world names in the fields of: Semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence, precision medicine, green transport infrastructure... In particular, the highlight of the series of events will be the ceremony to honor scientists with breakthrough achievements, serving the lives of millions of people on earth.
This year, VinFuture Foundation chose the message "Global Cooperation", clearly reflecting the difference and comprehensive vision of VinFuture compared to other international awards, when promoting the importance of global cooperation to create breakthrough technologies with widespread impact.

VinFuture Science and Technology Week 2023 includes 4 main activities: "Science for Life Seminar"; "VinFuture Future Discovery Dialogue Series"; "VinFuture Award Ceremony" and "Interaction with VinFuture Award Winners".
The series of events kicked off with the "Science for Life" seminar, taking place over two days, December 18-19, with four sessions: "Semiconductor technology: The foundation of the modern world", "Promoting precision immunology to treat autoimmune disorders", "Sustainable infrastructure and green transportation", "Artificial intelligence: Breakthrough potential and challenges".
The seminar brought together speakers who are the world's leading scientists. They are Professor Teck-Seng Low, Senior Vice President at the National University of Singapore (NUS), one of the world's most famous scientists in the field of semiconductors. He plays a role as a manager, promoter and decisive voice in outlining the roadmap for research and development of the semiconductor industry in Singapore. Dr. Sadasivan (Sadas) Shankar, Research and Technology Development Manager at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory at Stanford University (USA). He currently teaches at many of the world's leading universities: Stanford University, Harvard University, Cambridge University, University of California Los Angeles, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and California Institute of Technology. He initiated and led the Materials Design program at Intel since 2006, helping to optimize the semiconductor design process and energy efficiency.
Professor Shimon Sakaguchi, Institute of Advanced Immunology Research Center (IFReC), Osaka University (Japan), who is famous for discovering regulatory T cells (Tregs) and using them to activate and enhance tumor immunity as well as treat autoimmune diseases and other inflammatory diseases in clinical settings... also participated in the discussion.
Parallel to the Scientific Seminar is the "VinFuture Discovery Dialogue Series" which is being held for the first time to open up opportunities for cooperation and transfer of potential technology in the world to Vietnam. Specifically, 9 organizations including the largest research institutes, universities in Vietnam and businesses will participate in in-depth discussions with the world's leading scientists on "New technology in cancer treatment"; "Modern agriculture towards net zero emissions"; "New technology in protecting infectious diseases and HIV for young women"...
In particular, the VinFuture Awards Ceremony 2023 will take place on the evening of December 20 at the Hoan Kiem Theater (Hanoi) as an important event, honoring the inventors of breakthrough works, "joining global efforts" to contribute to creating a sustainable living environment for future generations, selected from nearly 1,400 nominated research projects from more than 90 countries around the world.
In addition to honoring outstanding scientists, a special highlight of this year's VinFuture Awards Ceremony was the performance of world-famous singer Katy Perry.
Immediately following the Award Ceremony, the event "Hello Future: Meeting with VinFuture 2023 Award Winners" will take place on December 21. Here, the Award Winners will interact with the public to share and inspire their scientific research journey and present to outstanding young scientists, talented students, businesses and the startup community who want to apply scientific breakthroughs into practice.
In 2023, the VinFuture Prize has entered its third season with its prestige and stature increasingly affirmed in the global science and technology community. In Vietnam, the VinFuture Foundation and the VinFuture Prize also have special significance, not only as a bridge connecting the world's outstanding intellectuals with the Vietnamese science and technology community, but also contributing to inspiring and motivating Vietnamese science to catch up quickly and go further on the world science and technology map.
