According to The Verge, many owners of the $3,500 Vision Pro glasses have shared in the past few days that they will return the product. This is based on Apple's policy allowing buyers to return items within 14 days of purchase.
According to users, using Vision Pro glasses has caused them headaches and motion sickness, as the device's weight is concentrated forward.
Parker Ortolani, product manager at The Verge, who owns a Vision Pro and intends to return it, said: “While the features are great, it causes too much discomfort, even for short periods, due to its weight and strap design. I want to continue using it but I’m afraid to wear it.” Many users of VR/AR glasses have also reported dry and red eyes for years.
Apple Vision Pro is now available in select stores in Vietnam.
Another user shared that the device was too expensive, difficult to use, and hard to get used to due to the constant headaches and eye strain caused by Vision Pro.
Besides the hardware, another common complaint that leads users to return the product is that the Vision Pro's performance doesn't match its $3,500 price tag.
On the social media platform Threads, a user shared that looking at the Figma screen made them feel dizzy, and that the device was unsuitable for their work.
Additionally, on the Reddit platform, other users reported that the Vision Pro glasses couldn't fully meet their entertainment needs and lacked a sufficient selection of games.
Apple Vision Pro officially went on sale in the US market in early February 2024, and MacRumors reports that Apple has sold over 200,000 units to date.
After being released, the product also became available in Vietnam a few days later through unofficial import channels.
Currently, the Vision Pro in Vietnam is priced at over 170 million VND for the top-of-the-line version with 1TB of storage, around 150 million VND for the 512GB version, and around 140 million VND for the 256GB version.
