At 4:00 p.m. on November 26, at the City Theater, within the framework of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic relations, the French Institute in Vietnam will organize a performance of the musical Paysage dans l'oubli .
This is a work by author - director Olivier Dhénin Huu and composer Benjamin Attahir. The opera is produced with the cooperation of the following units: French Embassy, French Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, French Institute, Ho Chi Minh City Center for Training and Experimental Literature and Arts. The production unit is Wintereise Theater Company. The play has Vietnamese - French subtitles.
The musical The Forgotten Scenery is like a historical painting, brought to the stage for the first time, a lyrical story about a thousand-year-old Vietnam and its relationship with France. The play interweaves dialogue, songs and music - a new form of opera imbued with the spirit of the East and the West, to tell the story of forgotten and rediscovered scenes. After the performance in Ho Chi Minh City, the play will be performed at the Ho Guom Theater (40 Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi).
* On this occasion, Hong Hac stage organizes French Drama Month with 3 plays based on famous literary works, including: Devil's Hour (adapted from the novel À cloche coeur by Catherine Arley, screenwriter: Viet Linh, director: Dinh Manh Phuc); Everything We Haven't Said (adapted from the novel of the same name by Marc Levy, screenwriter: Viet Linh, director: Viet Linh - Le Chi Na) and Eugenie Grandet (adapted from the novel of the same name by Honoré de Balzac, screenwriter: Viet Linh, director: Tay Phong).
The event takes place from December 1 to December 27, with performances at the Youth Theater. In addition, there are activities: Interacting with the crew, watching excerpts of 3 plays on screen at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street; cosplay contest in 19th century European costumes, cultural activities, photography... The performances are not for children under 12 years old.

The 45th Tri Continent Film Festival 2023 will be held from November 24 to December 3 in Nantes, France.
