Many rich and unique activities at Do Temple Festival 2025

Do Temple, also known as (Ly Bat De Temple, Co Phap Dien) - the temple worshiping the 8 kings of the Ly Dynasty was built in the 11th century, today located in Dinh Bang ward, Tu Son city, Bac Ninh province.

In 2014, Do Temple and the tombs of the Ly Dynasty kings were ranked as special national monuments.

According to the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Do Temple Festival, this year's festival will take place with many activities, both ceremonial and festive. The ceremonial part includes sacrificial activities, incense offering, and the procession of the Mother Goddess from Ung Tam Pagoda to Do Temple; and the ceremony of announcing the transfer of the capital by King Ly Thai To.

The highlight of the festival is the 1015th anniversary of Ly Thai To-Cong Uan's coronation as Emperor (March 15, Canh Tuat year (1010) - March 15, At Ty year (2025) and receiving the Certificate of ranking Dinh Bang communal house as a special national relic; National relic of comrade Le Quang Dao Memorial House; National treasure "Hoang De Chi Bao" Golden Seal of Nam Hong Royal Museum held on the evening of April 16.

Previously, a series of activities held in open spaces (from April 7-16) promised to attract a large number of tourists and residents to participate.

The opening ceremony is the National Team Tennis Championship for the Ly Dynasty Cup - Bac Ninh 2025 at the Sports Complex Gymnasium - Hanaka Paris Ocean Park Urban Area; a product exhibition fair with 65 OCOP booths - Fine art wooden products - gemstones in the northern region.

Notably, on the evening of April 10, Tu Son city will open a walking street, a tourism culinary festival and a lantern festival at Ly Thai To park. In the walking space and adjacent roads, visitors will have the opportunity to visit 120 booths with tourism products, traditional craft villages, and cuisine from provinces and cities in the country and 40 units and localities in the province. The Military Band will perform on Ly Thai To street and the walking street.

Along with that, the opening activities of the bonsai exhibition at the Le Quang Dao Memorial Site; the exhibition and auction of antiques at the Nam Hong Royal Museum; the display of beautiful images of Tu Son and Do Temple, Dinh Bang communal house will be held at many locations in Tu Son city.

During the festival, locals and visitors will experience and enjoy many unique cultural activities of the Bac Ninh-Kinh Bac region such as: Quan Ho singing on Dragon boats; Ca Tru singing, Dong Ngu water puppetry performed by professional artists; at the same time, participate in folk games such as to tom diem, phu the cake wrapping competition, blindfolded duck beating, clay pot beating; and art festival programs performed by local people.

Tu Son City informs the festival preparation work to central and local news agencies and newspapers in the area.

According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tu Son City, Dam The Su, in order to ensure the solemnity, safety, and economy of the festival, with many cultural and sports activities and folk games, Tu Son City has established a Steering Committee and a Festival Organizing Committee, assigning specific tasks to each member; coordinating with relevant departments, branches, and units to actively prepare for the festival.

Along with that, the work of ensuring security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention, organizing vendors in the festival area to sign a commitment to ensure listed prices, food hygiene and safety; organizing free tours to Tu Son for tourists... is also focused on.

Through the first Do Temple Festival held at the provincial level with many unique activities, Tu Son city wishes to introduce and spread the traditional beauty of the festival; introduce typical historical and cultural relics of the locality. Thereby, meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of the people, contributing to educating traditions, morality of drinking water and remembering its source, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the land rich in historical and scholarly traditions; at the same time, widely promoting the image of the young city of Tu Son, dynamic, smart, prosperous, and sustainably developing.
