To celebrate the 77th anniversary of Uncle Ho's first visit to Thanh Hoa (February 20, 1947 - February 20, 2024), localities in the province have organized many practical and meaningful activities.
The historical site and scenic spot of Pine Forest (Dong Son) is decorated to celebrate the 77th anniversary of Uncle Ho's first visit to Thanh Hoa.
* In Dong Son district - where Uncle Ho talked with key officials and intellectuals during his first visit to Thanh Hoa, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee offered incense at the Pine Forest Historical Site and Scenic Area.
Also here, Dong Son district organized an exhibition of political books, books about the Communist Party of Vietnam , Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought; books and newspapers about Uncle Ho and Thanh Hoa; books about Dong Son and the winning entries of the contest "Learning about the historical and cultural traditions of Dong Son".
Many paintings and photos of Uncle Ho with Thanh Hoa and the development of Dong Son district through the ages are also displayed for people and tourists to visit and learn.

Propaganda activities are also promoted by the district in many forms such as hanging banners, slogans, billboards, posters, broadcasting; hanging red flags in office areas of communes, towns and the district center.

Within the framework of the welcoming activities, Dong Son district organized a Sports Tournament attracting 300 athletes from 25 delegations from 14 communes, towns and agencies, units and schools in the district. Athletes competed in table tennis, volleyball, badminton and tug of war.
* On this occasion, Sam Son City has promoted propaganda about the life, revolutionary career and great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to the Vietnamese people; the viewpoints, thoughts, ethics and style of President Ho Chi Minh; his special feelings for cadres, party members and people of Sam Son City in particular, and Thanh Hoa people in general.

Thereby, spreading the meaning and noble value of studying and following Uncle Ho, creating solidarity and unity within the Party, consensus among the people with the determination to successfully implement the set goals and tasks.
* Joining the spirit of the whole province in organizing activities to celebrate the 77th anniversary of Uncle Ho's first visit to Thanh Hoa, Yen Dinh district organized many practical activities. In particular, it focused on propaganda work about Uncle Ho's visit to Yen Truong Cooperative - the leading flag in agricultural production of the district and province (in 1961).

At the Uncle Ho Memorial Site, Yen Truong Commune has done a good job of ensuring security, order, and environmental sanitation for people and tourists to visit and offer incense. Along with that, the commune has launched the "Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho". Officials and people in the commune have planted 150 red ban trees and shade trees at the village cultural houses, the commune stadium and National Highway 47B to the Uncle Ho Memorial Site.
