Many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day

On March 31, Mr. Nguyen Minh Luan, Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for major holidays to organize activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan noted that propaganda activities must highlight the significance of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan requested the propaganda work to highlight the historical significance of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country, the achievements of the Party Committee, the army and the people of Ca Mau province. At the same time, propaganda about the achievements of Ca Mau in the past 50 years, the results in the 2020-2025 term, the context of 2025 and the new prospects of the province focusing on key projects, associated with the position of the province, with the vision of integration, entering a new era. At the same time, pay attention to the stages of preparing tourism activities, being ready to welcome guests, building outstanding and unique programs associated with the locality with long-term and effective nature.

With the theme “The Great Victory of Spring 1975 - The strength of great national unity, the desire for peace, national independence and the will to unify the country”, many commemorative activities will be held. One of them is the restoration of historical sites, memorial steles, and martyrs’ cemeteries. Other activities include: mobile performances for the people, sports festivals, honoring outstanding literary and artistic works and awarding prizes for the literary and artistic composition contest with the theme “A Common Cause”. The province will organize visits and present gifts to historical witnesses and policy families; start projects such as upgrading Ca Mau Airport…; visit and offer incense at historical sites, especially the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South. These activities not only commemorate the heroic martyrs but also contribute to educating the tradition of "remembering the source of water", arousing faith in the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , creating solidarity and unity throughout society, towards future development goals.
