(CT) - According to Ms. Vo Thi Thuy Doan, President of the Women's Union of O Mon District, since the beginning of the year, the Women's Union at all levels in the district has mobilized support for 2,645 Tet gifts for poor and disadvantaged women members. Specifically for the 2025 military recruitment drive, the Union coordinated the packaging of 2,000 sticky rice cakes and coconut leaf cakes to give to young men and mobilized 23 gifts to support children of disadvantaged members joining the army; and awarded 2 "Houses of Love". In total, the value of social activities supporting women members and people in difficult circumstances is nearly 1 billion VND.

The Women's Union at all levels continues to maintain and expand 29 economic development and job creation models, such as traditional cake-making cooperatives, garment processing groups, and fishing net and trap-making groups, with a total of 524 members. These models have created jobs for 2,032 local workers. In addition, the Women's Union at the district level has strengthened coordination and support for members and women to access loan capital managed by the Union. Currently, the entire district has 97 loan groups from the Social Policy Bank, with 4,576 households borrowing a total of over 196 billion VND to support production, livestock farming, small-scale trading, and garden improvement.
