Many special activities attract tourists to the Thai festival in Quy Chau

Visitors to the Hang Bua Festival are mainly local residents and neighboring districts. There are also people from other provinces and cities such as Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, ... and some foreign tourists. The cave becomes crowded with tourists during the festival. Photo: Huu Vi The highlight of the ceremony is the Muong Chieng Ngam Temple Festival. The temple was built in 1927 by a district chief named Sam. The temple worships the gods who contributed to the construction of the Thai Muong, called Chieng Ngam (beautiful Muong). In the early 2000s, the temple was restored and became a spiritual work for local residents. Weaving, silkworm raising, and silk reeling are still maintained in the daily lives of women in many villages in Quy Chau district. The beauty contest is always the most anticipated event at the Hang Bua Festival. The 2024 festival will have the participation of 27 contestants from 12 communes, towns and Quy Chau District High School.
