To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the capital's education and training sector (1954 - 2024) and the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training organized a series of impressive and meaningful activities with the participation of thousands of teachers and students.
The first event in this series of events was the "Capital Students' March" program, organized for the first time by the Hanoi education sector on the morning of November 10, attracting 47 units representing 30 districts, towns, and international schools, with the participation of nearly 3,000 participants including members of the Military Ceremonial Group (General Staff), the People's Public Security Ceremonial Group, students of Vietnamese ethnic groups and students from countries around the world studying in Hanoi, artists, actors, teachers, etc.
The program takes place in the flower garden area of Ba Kieu temple, the street of Le Thach street, Dinh Tien Hoang street, the walking space of Hoan Kiem lake area and vicinity.
The program "March of Capital Students" was organized for the first time by the Hanoi education sector.
Speaking at the program, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that the program aims to enhance aesthetic education, political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and behavioral culture, arouse pride, inspire, motivate, and love the country for students; encourage and motivate teachers and educational managers to continue to strive, innovate, and be creative in teaching, making an important contribution to the development and international integration of the capital's education and training sector.

Mr. Jonathan Wallace Baker, UNESCO Representative in Vietnam, shared at the ceremony: "Hanoi has revived education, creating lifelong learning opportunities, starting with the mass literacy campaigns in the early days of its establishment and continuing with educational and training innovation."
According to Mr. Jonathan Wallace Baker, 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being recognized by UNESCO as a City for Peace, and is also the time of the establishment of the UNESCO Office in Hanoi.
Each performance conveys the children's love and pride for their homeland.
The ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the industry and the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day will be held on the morning of November 12 at the National Convention Center with the participation of 3,500 delegates representing preschools and general schools. The program will be broadcast live on H1 channel, Hanoi Radio and Television Station and connected online with schools and educational institutions in the city on digital application platforms and social networks.

As part of this series of commemorative activities, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that the sector will honor 70 dedicated and creative teachers who have made many contributions to the education sector to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the capital's education and training sector.
The purpose is to honor Hanoi teachers who are dedicated and enthusiastic in teaching, and have made outstanding contributions to the emulation movement of innovation and creativity, especially in the context of the whole industry implementing the 2018 general education program.
The 70 teachers honored this time were selected from thousands of outstanding teachers in nearly 3,000 schools across the city.
