Many activities to celebrate Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in Can Tho City

Master Nguyen Thi Kim Loan interacted and introduced the work "Friends in the time of red flowers".

The speakers of the program were Dr. Phan Van Hoan, former staff of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan, former Deputy Head of the Faculty of Culture, Information and Society, Hanoi University of Home Affairs (now the Vietnam National Academy of Public Administration); Ms. Phan Thi Minh Tam, former lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture. At the exchange session, students learned more about the work “The Friends of the Red Flower Era” by Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan, the work “Reduplicative Words in Vietnamese” by Dr. Phan Van Hoan… The speakers also shared about the importance of reading culture and conveyed the message of love for reading among young people.

In celebration of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, the Learning Resource Center, Can Tho University, organized Can Tho University Book Week 2025, taking place from April 14 to 18. In addition to book display and service activities, the program also included an exchange with young writer Hoang Khanh Duy with the theme "Reading is to heal".

On this occasion, Phuong Nam Can Tho Bookstore also cooperated with schools in the city such as Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Nam Can Tho University, Viet My High School... to organize book fairs in schools. The book fairs introduced many good books, rich in content, with many discount policies, reading encouragement, so they attracted a large number of teachers, students and pupils.
