POLICY TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTS TOURISM

Realizing the potential and strengths of sports tourism, Lam Dong provincial government has implemented a number of support policies for businesses organizing sports tournaments combined with tourism experiences. In the period of 2016 - 2020, the province has focused all resources to develop adventure sports tourism into a unique tourism product of the province.

In particular, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue Decision 1804 on temporary management of adventure sports tourism organization and business activities. This regulation not only creates a legal corridor for businesses but also ensures the safety of tourists when participating in adventure sports activities. With continuous efforts in developing sports tourism, Lam Dong is gradually affirming its position on the Vietnam tourism map. The combination of sports and tourism not only brings economic benefits but also contributes to improving the quality of life for local people.

Lam Dong is also aiming to build a sustainable sports tourism ecosystem, with the participation of businesses, organizations and the community. Plans to develop infrastructure, upgrade facilities and train high-quality human resources will be implemented to meet the growing needs of tourists.

In addition to economic development, Lam Dong also focuses on preserving culture and the environment. Sports tourism activities are organized with the criteria of protecting nature and promoting indigenous cultural values. Tourists not only experience sports activities but also have the opportunity to learn about the culture and customs of local people, thereby creating a connection between tourists and the community.

With great potential and support from the government, Lam Dong promises to become an ideal destination for those who are passionate about sports and exploring nature. The development of sports tourism not only brings economic benefits but also contributes to raising awareness of environmental protection and sustainable development.
