Many green projects won awards at the 2024 Women's Startup Competition

The Women's Union of Hau Giang province has just organized the award ceremony for the 2024 Provincial Women's Startup Competition. The winning projects all aim at environmental protection and green living.

The final round of the Hau Giang Province Women's Startup Competition took place within the framework of the "Women Start-up Green Living" Festival 2024, held in Vi Thanh City on June 18 and 19.

According to the Hau Giang Women's Union, the Hau Giang Women's Startup Competition 2024 has the theme "Green Startup Project", with competition criteria suitable for green economy , environmental protection and meeting the requirements of the digital economy.

The contest was launched on October 20, 2023. To date, the Organizing Committee has received 174 entries (an increase of more than 77 entries compared to 2023). Through 2 rounds of competition, the Jury has selected 15 ideas/projects to spread strongly on information channels, newspapers and participate in the final round of awards.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh, President of the Women's Union of Hau Giang province, said: The contest is a continuous and persistent journey, aiming to affirm the important contribution of women in economic development and become an annual activity for women to demonstrate their talents in production and business. Through the contest, the Union hopes to inspire women to start a business, business skills, discover and nurture potential ideas and projects; create motivation and spread the spirit of starting a business to female members and women.

The contest awarded the first prize to the project Circular economic agricultural production using renewable energy by author Lu Thi Nhat Hang; the second prize to the project Detoxifying skin care mask extracted from pennywort and fish mint by author Truong Thi Bich Lien; the third prize to 2 projects Rambutan flower honey by author Nguyen Kim Toan and the project Convenient food from boneless Muscovy duck by author Nguyen Thi Kim Thu. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 6 Encouragement prizes and 5 recognized projects.
