Among the 36 projects competing in the final round of the 10th Green Startup Ideas/Project Competition - Sustainable Development in 2024, many projects are led by women, especially ethnic minority women.

On November 9, the final round of the 10th Green Startup Ideas/Project Competition - Sustainable Development 2024 took place in Ho Chi Minh City. The competition was organized by the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises, the Center for Business Research and Enterprise Support - BSA in collaboration with a number of enterprises.

The final round of the competition had 36 ideas/projects. Of which, Group A (individual/group projects) had 12 ideas/projects and Group B (individual, collective projects belonging to cooperatives/cooperatives/enterprises) had 24 projects.

36 projects come from 26 provinces and cities across the country such as: An Giang, Ben Tre, Binh Thuan, Phu Yen, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Lang Son, Ha Giang... Among them, there are many projects led by women, such as the straw mushroom rice paper project of Nguyen Hoang Ngoc Yen (An Giang), the production of dishes from areca spathe by Dao Thi Van (Dak Lak), handicrafts from water coconut trees by Nguyen Thi Thuan (Ben Tre), the organic dairy farm model associated with animal welfare and environmental protection by Nguyen Thi Thinh (Ha Nam)...

In particular, many young people, rural youth, and women from ethnic groups: Dao, Mong, Muong, Nung, Tay, Thai, Raglai... participate in projects from their native resources such as the project to increase the value of plums combined with developing community tourism in Bac Nam district, Bac Kan of Ca Thi Bay.

The organizers awarded certificates to the teams participating in the final round.

Ms. Vu Kim Hanh, Chairwoman of the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises, shared that she was very happy that this year's competition attracted many ideas and projects from the Central region and many northernmost provinces of the country. "Previously, Ho Chi Minh City and the delta provinces had many participating projects and had products that penetrated deeply into the domestic and world markets. Now, the participation of ideas/projects from the Central and Northern regions is a new signal that we are very happy about," said Ms. Vu Kim Hanh.

Ms. Vu Kim Anh, Deputy Director of BSA Center, Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition, said that after 10 years of the competition, the center has increasingly connected and coordinated with experts, businesses, agencies, and organizations domestically and internationally to support and promote projects in the green startup ecosystem. It is the connection, association, and support for projects after the competition in many different forms that have helped green startups stand firmer in the domestic market.

“This is the premise for many young people who have won high prizes in our startup competitions to export to many international markets, with high requirements on standards and product quality. They are truly on the path to becoming agricultural entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector, bringing deeply processed Vietnamese agricultural products to many places around the world,” Ms. Vu Kim Anh emphasized.

The final round of the 10th Green Startup Ideas/Project Competition - Sustainable Development 2024 will take place until November 10. The total prize value of the competition is nearly 1 billion VND, of which more than 222 million VND in cash will be awarded to the winning ideas/projects in both categories. Along with that, the organizing committee also has a number of other professional awards.
