The Command of Police Region 3 coordinated with the Propaganda Department of Vung Tau City Party Committee to organize a course on "Political training and current information for officers of the Vung Tau City Veterans Association in 2024". Nearly 200 officers, party members, and members of all levels of the Veterans Association in Vung Tau City participated in the research and study.

At the propaganda session, the Reporter of the Command of Police Region 3 informed about the current situation of security and safety of our country's seas and islands; the role, potential and strengths of the seas and islands in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; the viewpoints, policies and measures of our Party and State in solving issues at sea; the basic contents of the 2012 Law on the Sea of ​​Vietnam; the 2018 Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard; legal documents on preventing and combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, combined with the distribution of 200 propaganda leaflets of various types.

This is a regular activity carried out by the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 to propagate and disseminate to raise awareness for cadres, party members and the masses. It contributes to building awareness and responsibility, strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, promoting the combined strength of the great national unity bloc for the cause of building, managing and protecting territorial sovereignty, maintaining security, order, safety and sustainable economic development in the seas and islands of the Fatherland.

Recently, Brigade 125, Naval Region 2, in coordination with the National Defense and Security Education Center of Ho Chi Minh City National University, organized a conference to promote sea and island issues for more than 3,000 students.

At the conference, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Minh Duong - Political Commissar, Squadron 5, Brigade 125, Brigade Reporter informed the students of the center about the recent situation of the sea and islands and forecast the situation in the coming time; the viewpoints of our Party and State in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland; the results of the task of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland and building a modern Navy Service and Region 2.

In 2023 and the first 6 months of 2024, Naval Region 2 coordinated propaganda for more than 50,000 cadres, party members, students and people in many localities; focusing on students studying in Ho Chi Minh City. Thereby, it has contributed to raising awareness and responsibility of organizations, forces and a large number of students towards the task of preserving and protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Recently, Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association in collaboration with the Naval Technical College organized a talk show on the topic "The Sea, My Fatherland", thereby arousing responsibility, educating love for the homeland, the sea and islands, and promoting the work of protecting the sea and islands.

At the event, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Duc Loi, Head of Politics, Naval Technical College provided information about Vietnam's seas and islands to Tay Ninh youth: Geographical characteristics of Vietnam's islands; the importance of the archipelagos in the East Sea in terms of economy and military; Vietnam's foreign policy in the East Sea; forecast of the situation and direction, tasks of protecting sovereignty over seas and islands in the East Sea in the coming time...

Ms. Dang Thi Phuong, President of the Tay Ninh Province Literature and Arts Association, said that Tay Ninh is a border province without a sea. In order to connect the land border with the sea and offshore islands, over the years, the provincial leaders have always paid attention to propaganda work on the sea and islands; including a coordination program between the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee and the Navy Party Committee and the implementation of Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2008 of the Politburo on continuing to build and develop literature and arts in the new period, Resolution 33-NQ/TW dated June 9, 2014 of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure) on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development.

Ms. Dang Thi Phuong affirmed that the sea, islands and Navy soldiers have always been an endless source of inspiration in Vietnamese literature and art. Protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland is an important task of the entire people, in which the youth play a particularly important role. Through literary and artistic creation activities, propaganda about the life of studying, working, training, combat readiness, and performing the duties of soldiers..., the image of the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland is closer to the public.

On this occasion, the Tay Ninh Provincial Literature and Arts Association introduced a number of works composed from the field visits of the delegation of artists of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to a number of units of Naval Region I, such as: The poem "Afternoon waves forever beat the sound of the homeland" by author Mai Tuyet; the song "Firm in the sea, Northeast sky" by musician Dang Phuong; the traditional song "Naval Brigade 147" by author Hoang Sen, "Let the sea sing love songs" by musician Huynh Oanh...

Navy Region 5: Introducing new works about the sea, islands and Navy soldiers

On the evening of April 27, in Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang Province), 15 literary and artistic works with the theme "Sea, islands and Navy soldiers" composed by members and collaborators of the Kien Giang Province Literature and Arts Association were introduced to a large number of officers and soldiers of agencies and units under Naval Region 5 in Phu Quoc City.

Naval Region 5 informs more than 1,500 people in Ca Mau province about the situation of the sea and islands.

From May 21 to 24, the Naval Region 5 Command coordinated with the Propaganda Department of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee to organize information about the sea and islands in 3 districts: Ngoc Hien, Nam Can and Phu Tan.
