Here, on June 10, 1940, the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee was established at the house of Le Thi Thanh in Ta Xa (now Hop Tien commune) with a provisional Provincial Party Committee consisting of 3 comrades: Nguyen Manh Hoan, Chu Thi Kim Son and Nguyen Tan Phuc.

The establishment of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee marked a new step of maturity and development of the revolutionary movement in Hai Duong.
