Promoting internal resources in calling for and mobilizing socialization, recently, many localities in Ha Tinh have mobilized tens of billions of VND to restore, embellish, preserve and promote the values ​​of historical and cultural relics in the area.

In early 2023, the people of Cam Lam village (Xuan Lien commune, Nghi Xuan) were excited when the village's fishing festival was restored after decades of decline. This folk cultural activity was restored thanks to the locality's recent completion of the restoration and embellishment of the provincial historical relic Dong Hai temple (whale temple) - a relic associated with the fishing festival.

The provincial historical and cultural relic Dong Hai Temple (Xuan Lien Commune, Nghi Xuan) has just been restored and built.

Mr. Tran Van Tuan (53 years old, resident of Lam Hai Hoa village, Xuan Lien) expressed: “We are very excited when the hundreds of years old temple associated with the worship of the Dong Hai god who protects fishermen has been restored and built in a spacious manner. Moreover, along with the restoration of the temple, the fishing festival of Cam Lam village has also been restored, preserving and promoting cultural traditions, thereby strengthening solidarity in the community”.

The total capital of over 6 billion VND for the restoration and construction of Dong Hai Temple (Xuan Lien) was all contributed by the people.

Dong Hai Temple was built hundreds of years ago. In 2018, the temple was ranked as a provincial relic by the Provincial People's Committee. After a period of degradation, from 2020 to now, Xuan Lien commune has mobilized local people as well as children living far from home across the country and abroad to contribute, restore and embellish the temple. After 3 years of social mobilization, the temple was restored and many new items were built with a total cost of over 6 billion VND.

Xuan Lien currently has 14 ranked relics, including 1 national-level relic, Nguyen Bat Lang Church, and 13 provincial-level relics. From 2019 to present, by calling for and mobilizing people's contributions, Xuan Lien commune has mobilized more than 10 billion VND to restore and embellish many ranked relics. These include provincial-level historical and cultural relics such as To Khoi Tomb and Church, Hoang Van Family Church, Ben Temple, etc.

Thanks to the restoration of Dong Hai Temple, Cam Lam Fishing Festival has also been restored.

These days, the government and people of Thach Khe commune (Thach Ha) are also happily waiting for the restoration of Nha Sac - a historical and cultural relic with a history of over 200 years of the locality. Recently, through the mobilization of the commune, local people and children living far from home have donated more than 950 million VND to restore this relic.

After a period of degradation and damage, the Royal Decree House (where the royal decrees granted to individuals and families are kept) over 200 years old in Thach Khe commune (Thach Ha) has the opportunity to be restored and embellished thanks to the mobilization of contributions from the people.

Previously (since 2020), Thach Khe has mobilized about 5 billion VND from social capital to restore the provincial-level historical and cultural relics of Poet Nguyen Huu Ngan (1.5 billion VND), Duong family temple (200 million VND)... In particular, the most recently completed project is the Water Control Stele House relic awaiting classification with a capital calling for social capital of 2 billion VND.

The Flood Control Monument project has just been inaugurated in Thach Khe commune (Thach Ha) with an investment of 2 billion VND from social mobilization.

Mr. Truong Quoc Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Thach Khe commune said: "To mobilize social resources to restore and embellish historical and cultural relics in the area, we established a mobilization committee, strengthened communication work to introduce the values ​​of the cultural heritage of our homeland on social networks. At the same time, we connected with the Thach Khe compatriots' association in all three regions of the North, Central and South, organized direct meetings to call for donations. Promoting the cultural traditions and solidarity of our homeland, many people were willing to turn to their hometown to donate and support."

These days, people in Tuong Son commune are also excited to mobilize hundreds of workers every day to restore and embellish Phu Son temple - a historical and cultural relic that was just ranked at the provincial level at the end of 2022.

Phu Son Temple (Tuong Son Commune, Thach Ha District) has just been ranked as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.

Through the appeal of the Commune People's Committee, Thai Vuong Group Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) has sponsored the restoration and reconstruction of the temple with a capital of about 80 billion VND. In particular, the restoration will restore and preserve the original elements of the relic, while also building some new items. The scale of the project is 3 hectares.

Mr. Nguyen Hung Vy - Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Thach Ha district said: “Thach Ha currently has 110 ranked relics, including 7 national relics. Up to now, basically all relics in the area have been given attention for restoration and renovation; in 2022 alone, 11 relics were restored with a total socialized capital of nearly 17 billion VND. From the beginning of 2023 to now, the whole district has restored and renovated 26 relics that have ensured the records, of which: 13 relics have completed 30% - 90% of the construction volume, the remaining 13 relics are implementing steps, preparing to start construction; the total socialized capital is nearly 20 billion VND, the district budget supports nearly 3 billion VND".

According to Mr. Nguyen Tung Linh - Head of the Department of Cultural Management (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism), in the context of limited State budget, the fact that localities have actively mobilized and called on people and sponsors to restore and embellish historical and cultural relics is a very practical and meaningful action. In particular, the restoration and renovation of valuable relics that have not been ranked is a very commendable effort. It is hoped that in the coming time, localities will continue to promote their internal resources, together with all levels and sectors, make more efforts in socialization work to continue preserving and promoting the values ​​of tangible and intangible cultural heritages in the area.
