This is the second year the Union has worked together to transport workers.

Bringing along her two young children, Ms. Ha Thi Hoan, living in Vinh Loc district, a worker at SEI Vietnam Electronic Components Co., Ltd. in Bac Thang Long Industrial Park, shared: “My family has two young children, and it is not convenient to take a direct bus from Vinh Loc district to Hanoi, so it is difficult to pick up and catch a bus when returning to work. The support bus from the union not only helps our family save some money but also encourages us to have more motivation to try to complete our work well.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Pham, a worker at DENSO Vietnam Co., Ltd. happily said: “I feel lucky because the bus stopped at a very convenient location to go back to my boarding house. Many years ago, every time I went back to my hometown to celebrate Tet, I thought about taking a bus to go back to work, but all the buses were cramped and crowded, and if I took a shared bus, the price would be very high. With this meaningful program, I also received visits and lucky money at the beginning of the year."

At exactly 6:30 am, the buses depart, taking workers back to Hanoi.

Chairman of the Trade Union of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Zones of Thanh Hoa Province, Ngo The Anh, shared: "The coordinated activity of organizing worker pick-up and drop-off not only helps workers become more connected to the Trade Union organization but also helps union members become more connected in their work and life away from home. We will make efforts to coordinate with departments, branches, localities and the Labor Federations of districts, towns, city unions and industry unions so that the program continues to spread more widely in the coming years."
