According to Tuoi Tre Online , many passengers were tired when they continuously received delay notices, in some cases the flight was delayed 3-4 times.

Meanwhile, Vietnam Airlines and Bamboo Airways also had some flights delayed 1-2 hours from the original departure time.

For example, flights from Ho Chi Minh City - Hai Phong, Hanoi including VN118, VN220 are delayed 1-2 hours from the original flight time.

Typically, flight VJ1632 from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang , scheduled to take off at 6:40 a.m., was delayed until more than 5:30 p.m.

According to Tuoi Tre Online 's investigation, the delay partly stems from the process of converting terminal T1 to terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat airport and the airline's adjustment of its operating plan ahead of the peak period of April 30 and May 1.

Also this afternoon, bad weather in the Noi Bai area caused flights from this airport to the provinces, including Ho Chi Minh City, to adjust their flight plans to wait for better weather.

Some flights had to land at other airports such as Vinh and Hai Phong, waiting for the weather to improve to continue the situation. This is also the reason why many people said they had to wait at the airport for many hours with common reasons such as "the plane arrived late".

Faced with this situation, passengers hope that airlines and Tan Son Nhat airport will soon stabilize operations and improve procedures to ensure on-time flight schedules, especially during the upcoming holiday peak period.

Meanwhile, passengers at T3 terminal also face many inconveniences, making them "confused" about how to move between terminals.

The airline commits to promptly notify if there is any change in the operating terminal.

Vietnam Airlines has begun transferring flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to Terminal T3 from 0:00 on April 19.

It is expected that from April 28, the airline's remaining domestic flights (except for routes to Con Dao, Rach Gia, and Ca Mau) will also operate at the new terminal.

According to the plan of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, after the peak of April 30 and May 1 holidays, domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet will officially move to Terminal T3. Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines, Vasco and Vietravel Airlines will continue to operate at Terminal T1.
