Comrades Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Van Dung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Le Tri Thanh - Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Su-phanh Ha-dao-huong - Consul General of the Lao PDR in Da Nang; and comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; representatives of leaders of departments and branches of the province attended.

At the award ceremony, representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Sekong province announced the decision to award the Third Class Independence Medal of the Party and State of the Lao PDR to 6 individuals of Quang Nam province, including: Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Van Dung; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Vo Xuan Ca; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh, Nguyen Cong Thanh; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu, Tran Anh Tuan.

The individuals were awarded the Medal by the Party and State of the Lao PDR for their outstanding achievements and great contributions in supporting, helping, and developing Sekong province, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. Especially the 40-year solidarity and traditional friendship between Quang Nam and Sekong.

Authorized by the President of the Lao PDR, Secretary - Governor of Sekong Province Lech-lay Si-vi-lay awarded the Third Class Independence Medal - a noble award of the Party and State of the Lao PDR to the leaders of Quang Nam province.

At the same time, the great contributions of the leaders of Quang Nam province to the process of establishing cooperative relations, spiritual and material support, contributing to promoting the development of Laos in general and Sekong in particular, were acknowledged.

Hope to continue to receive affection, contributions and support from the leaders of Quang Nam province, further strengthening the traditional solidarity and friendship between the two provinces and two countries.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of Quang Nam province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung expressed his joy at receiving the noble award from the Party and State of the Lao PDR. At the same time, he expressed his deep gratitude to the Party, State and People of Laos; the recognition and good feelings that the Party, State and People of Laos have given to Quang Nam.

According to comrade Le Van Dung, the small contributions of the leaders of Quang Nam province in recent times are aimed at fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos and Laos and Vietnam.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos is a unique relationship in the world. The two Parties, two States and people of the two countries always stand side by side to fight against common enemies, gain national independence as well as build, develop and protect the country.

Quang Nam and Sekong provinces have a long-standing traditional relationship. Regardless of the circumstances, the two provinces together overcome all difficulties and challenges to develop stably, sustainably, and long-term, and are determined to protect the revolutionary achievements of the two countries.
