Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, there was Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. On behalf of EVN, there was Mr. Dinh The Phuc, Member of the EVN Board of Members; Pham Hong Phuong, Deputy General Director of EVN. On behalf of the EVN Trade Union, there was Mr. Do Duc Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, along with Vice Chairmen: Uong Quang Huy; Nguyen Kim Thanh; Dinh Thi Thanh Binh. Also attending were representatives of EVN's Boards, Offices and EVN Trade Union, EVN Youth Union, Power Generation Corporation 1, Quang Ninh Thermal Power Joint Stock Company.
In his opening speech, Mr. Do Duc Hung, Chairman of EVN Trade Union, said: In recent years, emulation movements in EVN such as: "Good workers, creative workers", "10 thousand initiatives", "1 million initiatives to overcome difficulties - develop" have aroused and promoted the intellectual potential and spirit of continuous dedication of the staff, civil servants, and employees of the entire Group. In the period of 2022-2023 alone, the entire Group had 12,931 initiatives (reaching 129% of the assigned target), demonstrating the strong creativity of workers in the Electricity industry.
In order to continue that success, on April 15, 2025, the General Director and the Standing Committee of EVN Trade Union signed and issued a Joint Directive to launch the emulation movement "Creative Labor" and the program "10 thousand initiatives" for the period 2025-2028. The emulation movement also aims to concretize the Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on "Breakthrough in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation".
According to Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Do Duc Hung, the Group and the Trade Union jointly organized the launching of Workers' Month 2025, at the same time launching the emulation movement "Creative Labor" and the Program "10 thousand initiatives" to promote the pioneering, creative and proactive spirit in each cadre, worker, civil servant and employee; as well as mobilizing collective intelligence, promoting the proposal of solutions, initiatives, technical improvements, and application of digital technology , contributing to optimizing processes, saving costs and improving the efficiency of production and business activities. Closely linking the emulation movement with EVN's strategic goals of digital transformation, green and sustainable development, building a Trade Union organization that is truly a reliable support for workers.
The Chairman of EVN Trade Union called on all levels of affiliated trade unions to closely follow the orientation, promote proactiveness and flexibility in organizing activities of Workers' Month and the innovation movement. Professional levels and business leaders accompany and closely coordinate with the Trade Union organization in creating conditions, supporting and encouraging the emulation movement to spread widely and effectively.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh highly appreciated the tireless efforts, innovation in working methods, organization and especially the outstanding and practical results that the EVN Trade Union has achieved. The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also highly appreciated the initiative and creativity of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union in effectively implementing many emulation movements.
In order for the 2025 Workers' Month to truly spread widely, practically and effectively, Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, suggested that the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union and its affiliated trade unions focus on implementing a number of key tasks. In particular, it is necessary to strengthen communication and propaganda work on the goals and significance of the Workers' Month, arouse pride in the glorious tradition of the working class and International Labor Day on May 1, and clarify the role of electricity workers in the digital age and green industry.
Also at the launching ceremony, Mr. Dinh The Phuc, member of the EVN Board of Members, highly appreciated the initiatives of the EVN Trade Union in recent years, especially the "10 thousand initiatives" program among the Group's employees in the period of 2022-2023. With 12,931 initiatives registered to participate, many of which have value of tens of billions of VND, they have contributed to reducing costs, increasing labor productivity, optimizing operations and improving the quality of customer service. EVN Board of Members member Dinh The Phuc also requested units in the Group to proactively coordinate with the trade union to develop targets, organize the signing of emulation commitments, clearly assign people and responsibilities in implementation, ensuring the set goals. At the same time, promptly commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals, replicate effective models, create widespread effects throughout the Group, turn emulation movements into endogenous motivation in each unit and each employee...
With the theme of Workers' Month 2025: "Vietnamese workers pioneer in entering a new era", units in Vietnam Electricity Group in general and Quang Ninh Thermal Power in particular determined that this is not only a formal movement but also a strategic and practical action orientation to improve workers' lives and promote productivity and quality in production labor.
In the period of 2020 - 2025, Quang Ninh Thermal Power Plant has made its mark with 288 technical innovation initiatives and production rationalization. These initiatives contribute to improving the operational efficiency of the unit, ensuring safety, reliability and meeting the requirements of the national power system. Following that achievement, in the period of 2025 - 2028, the Company clearly identified: Initiatives are "precious gems" arising from production practices. Therefore, initiative launching activities will continue to be widely deployed, associated with each department, workshop, and production team. The Company's leaders are committed to accompanying workers with specific actions: closely coordinating between professionals and trade unions in developing plans to implement Workers' Month and the initiative program; creating favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms, policies, environment and time for workers to research and propose initiatives; building a transparent and fair reward system; and enhance the application of technology to share and replicate effective innovation models.
Along with the initiative movement, Quang Ninh Thermal Power also continues to focus on taking care of the material and spiritual life of workers. Activities such as visiting and supporting workers in difficulty, organizing cultural and sports activities, improving working conditions, enhancing occupational safety and hygiene, etc. will continue to be promoted with the motto "Towards the grassroots - For the benefit of union members - For workers".
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Quang Ninh Thermal Power Joint Stock Company said: “The company determines that employees are the most valuable asset of the enterprise. Creating conditions for them to promote initiatives and technical improvements is also an investment in the sustainable development of the unit”. The spirit of responding to Workers' Month and the program "10 thousand initiatives" is a strong transformation of the workforce of Quang Ninh Thermal Power Joint Stock Company in response to the requirements of science and technology development, digital transformation and sustainable development.
