Foreign object deep in patient's urethra - Photo: Provided by hospital
On March 14, Hospital 22-12 announced that on March 13, it had just received a case of a male patient with a foreign object stuck in the urethra.
The patient used a 50cm long silver chain inserted into the urethra to increase pleasure, causing the knotted part of the chain to get stuck and unable to be removed.
The patient went to a local clinic but they couldn't get it out, instead it caused his penis to bleed a lot, so he went to the hospital for emergency care.
Immediately after receiving the case, the doctors took an X-ray of the patient and successfully removed the necklace from the patient's urethra.
Doctor Nguyen Van Tich - General Surgery Department - 22-12 Hospital - said that if the above patient's incident is left untreated for a long time or not handled properly, it can cause urethral perforation, bleeding, abscesses... which are very dangerous.
In particular, if the urethra is narrowed, ejaculation will not be possible, leading to the inability to have children naturally.

According to Dr. Tich, "inducing pleasure" is a method to reduce psychological and physiological stress, but not all methods are safe.
Nowadays, many people tend to use "strange" objects to increase pleasure. This is really dangerous, easily causing infection, bleeding, and harmful complications later.
"Moreover, it is not uncommon to accidentally encounter an accident while "inducing pleasure". Patients absolutely must not be afraid, hesitate or go to "underground" medical facilities to perform the procedure.
Without sufficient expertise, techniques, tools or equipment, handling situations like the above may cause unwanted consequences.
Therefore, when an accident occurs, you must quickly go to a reputable hospital to remove the foreign object before it causes other serious complications," said Dr. Tich.
