Mr. Minh went out to celebrate Tet and found a leather wallet containing more than 21 million VND in cash, so he handed it over to the Vinh Tu Commune Police (Quang Tri) to find and return it to its owner. After 30 minutes of making a public announcement, the commune police verified and returned it to its owner.
On the afternoon of February 1, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Tinh Thanh - head of Vinh Tu commune police (Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri) said that the unit had just returned lost property to a local resident.
At around 8:30 a.m. the same day, Mr. Nguyen Van Minh (26 years old, residing in Dong Luat village, Vinh Thai commune, Vinh Linh) while going to wish everyone a happy new year picked up a leather wallet containing more than 21 million VND in cash and some personal documents.
Mr. Minh went to the commune police to report and hand over the found property to verify and find the owner.
The commune police posted a search for the property owner on social media and announced it over the commune's loudspeaker system.
After 30 minutes, Vinh Tu Commune Police verified and completed the procedures to return the property to the person who lost it, Mr. Le Huu Phuong (44 years old, residing in Thuy Tu village, Vinh Tu commune).
After receiving the lost property back, Mr. Phuong was very happy and moved and sent his deep and sincere thanks to Mr. Minh.
Lieutenant Colonel Thanh said this is a meaningful, noble and warm work in the first days of the new year 2025.
