Immediately after the incident occurred, the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company (NSMO) coordinated with EVNNPT's operating units and a number of power units to quickly fix the problem. The power transmission system was brought back to normal operation, with no damage to equipment recorded; most of the affected loads were restored within about 15 minutes.
NSMO has also directed regional transmission units and power plants to re-energize power lines to supply power to power plants with problems, support the restart of coal-fired thermal power plants, and quickly restore renewable energy sources.
As of 4:30 p.m. the same day, NSMO basically completed the work of energizing the related transformer stations, adjusting the power source to suit the increased load demand during peak hours in the evening and bringing the national power system back to a stable operating state.
NSMO will continue to closely monitor the operation of the power system, strengthen supervision and closely coordinate with relevant units to proactively respond, ensuring the national power system is operated safely, continuously and reliably.
