This line failure then caused grid fluctuations causing overvoltages in some areas.

Immediately after the incident occurred, the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO) coordinated with operating units under the National Power Transmission Corporation and a number of Electricity units to quickly fix the problem.

The transmission system has been restored to normal operation, with no damage to equipment reported. Most affected loads were restored within about 15 minutes.
