Based on his campaign promises, on his first day as US President, Donald Trump is expected to use executive power to implement major policy changes without congressional approval, focusing on key areas such as immigration, energy, foreign policy and equal rights protections.
Clear the crime and pay back "grudge"
Previously, Mr. Trump has repeatedly affirmed that he will not abuse his power for revenge or act arbitrarily when returning to the White House, but "except on the first day".
One of the first actions Mr. Trump takes on his first day could be to absolve himself of the crimes he has been accused of since his first term and pay back those who pushed for the lawsuits against him.
