Launching the support for the Fund “For Vietnam’s Seas and Islands” in 2025, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Lan Huong emphasized: Vietnam’s seas and islands hold a particularly important strategic position, an inseparable sacred territory of the Fatherland. The task of preserving sovereignty over the seas and islands is the common responsibility of the entire Party, the entire army and every Vietnamese citizen.
Over the past years, Hanoi has implemented many practical and meaningful activities to encourage and motivate cadres, soldiers and people on the sea and islands. Along with promoting information and propaganda work, raising awareness of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the capital about the sea and islands, Hanoi has organized delegations to visit, encourage and present gifts to soldiers and people on the islands; provide funding to support infrastructure construction, improve working, living and studying conditions of soldiers and people on the islands of Truong Sa archipelago as well as DK1 Platform.
From 2016 to present, the people and officials of the capital have donated over 509 billion VND to the fund; the city has supported the construction of 11 multi-purpose cultural houses, providing spiritual and material support to officers, soldiers and people on the islands of Truong Sa island district.
Emphasizing that the mobilization of the Fund "For Vietnam's Seas and Islands" in 2025 takes place in the context of the entire political system focusing on implementing the revolution of streamlining the apparatus and the revolution of science and technology, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Lan Huong requested that Front officials at all levels need to make efforts, try, promote their roles and responsibilities, concentrate highly, accelerate in guiding, coordinating and organizing the mobilization so that this launch ensures both progress and quality, and targets for the Fund mobilization. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city commits to ensuring effectiveness, publicity, transparency, and timeliness in the management and use of the fund.
The time to support the Fund "For Vietnam's Seas and Islands" in 2025 starts from April 18 to June 30, 2025. The subjects of the campaign are: Agencies, units, organizations, businesses, religious organizations; officials, civil servants, employees, workers; officers, soldiers of the armed forces and all classes of people in the capital; students studying in the city; other voluntary organizations and individuals...
In which, each cadre, civil servant, employee in agencies, units, and enterprises of the city supports at least 1 day's salary. Mobilize agencies, units, organizations, enterprises, religious organizations and people to support according to their ability and conditions. The form of support is in Vietnamese currency or foreign currency.
