Musicians Giang Son and Le Minh Son sit in the 'hot seat' of an online singing contest

Musicians Giang Son and Le Minh Son are judges of an online singing contest praising the homeland, country and people of Vietnam.

Vietnam Musicians Association organizes online singing contest Song of Reunification , towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and over who are passionate about singing. Contestants will have the opportunity to perform songs praising the homeland, country and Vietnamese people in the process of building and defending the Fatherland and honoring the country's unity.

Sharing about the contest, Major General Nguyen Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association, said that this is a new music "playground" that promises to be exciting, attracting talents and those who are passionate about singing to have the opportunity to shine; at the same time, expressing love for the homeland through music; spreading the values and beauty of Vietnamese revolutionary music.

“The combination of the Vietnam Musicians Association, TikTok Live and Mate Media will open up a new direction in exploiting modern technology platforms, promoting cultural and musical values to the public: Proactively participating in the field of digital content and increasing the content of "Clean Content" on social networking platforms; In line with the digital transformation trend; A bridge to bring mainstream music closer to young people, contributing to arousing patriotism and national pride" , Major General Nguyen Duc Trinh emphasized.

According to the Organizing Committee, the competition will take place within 5 months (from October 14, 2024 to March 15, 2025), following the rules of daily online competitions on the TikTok Live platform combined with live performances on stage.

Contestants can choose to try their hand at different genres and music styles, with themes changing monthly and an unlimited number of entries. Contestants' livestream entries will be produced into separate TikTok clips, posted on the contest's TikTok channel and the eVoting online voting portal. Contestants can campaign for votes to have the opportunity to participate in the next rounds.

Musician Giang Son and musician Le Minh Son were judges of the competition.

The Art Council and Jury are famous musicians in the Vietnamese music industry such as: Musician Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association; People's Artist, Musician Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Hanoi Music Association; Musician Duc Tan, Musician Giang Son, musician Le Minh Son; musician Hoai An... and many other famous artists and vocal teachers.

The total prize value for outstanding contestants in the monthly and final rounds is up to 100 million VND, along with many privileges for content creators on TikTok LIVE.
