The work will continue to be performed at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace (Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi) at 8:00 p.m. on April 26.
The musical “Fire from the Earth” is an epic about Hanoi in the 1930s, about young people who sacrificed their youth and personal happiness to follow the revolutionary ideal. Inspired by the life of revolutionary Nguyen Ngoc Vu – the first official Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, the work recreates the journey of “sowing red seeds” in the heart of the capital, when the Communist Party of Vietnam was just born, and at the same time depicts the growth of the Communist Party of Vietnam from its early days.

The fire from the earth is the fire of patriotism, of communist ideals and belief in a bright future. It is also the fire of the struggle for national liberation, the fire of pioneer heroes who dare to sacrifice themselves and influence the people: intellectuals, workers, farmers...
The musical is not only for art lovers but also for those who love Hanoi, because the work is staged from enthusiastic hearts and full of pride for the land and people of Hanoi. It is directed by Meritorious Artist Cao Ngoc Anh, written by Le Quy Hien, with the creative participation of People's Artist Tran Ly Ly (chief choreographer), People's Artist Doan Bang (stage designer), musician Minh Dao (music director), artist Dao Duy Anh (stage director), artist Nguyen Thanh Cong (choreographer).
The cast of “Fire from the Earth” includes prominent figures in the Vietnamese musical scene, such as Sao Mai Le Viet Anh, Tran Viet, Trung Hieu, Duong Minh Anh, and Pham Van Tho. In particular, the play features Meritorious Artist Thanh Tam in the role of Mrs. Dam Thi - the mother of comrade Nguyen Ngoc Vu.
The work is staged in musical form, with more than 20 newly composed songs, using many musical genres from traditional to modern.

The musical brings a memorable artistic experience, igniting national pride and strong emotions in everyone's heart, where history and art intersect, where "Fire from the Earth" burns with every melody and every movement on stage. The work also brings a message to the young generation living in peace, not to forget that behind today's dawn, there were once dark years with fires lit by ordinary people.
To realize the play, the production process received the joint efforts of departments, branches and organizations such as the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hanoi Party Committee, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, and Hanoi Radio and Television.
In particular, the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) has accompanied the play as the main sponsor, demonstrating its concern and responsibility for the development of the country's arts. The valuable support from agencies, departments, sectors and sponsors not only contributes to the realization of a valuable musical work but also spreads meaningful messages, honoring history and national spirit.
