The book series "Enjoying Philosophy" is part of the training program for young translators of the French Institute. Dr. Tran Van Cong is one of the experts training young translators within the framework of this program.
One of the most important philosophers of the 20th century, Ludwig Wittgenstein, once compared philosophers to children. They scribbled on blank paper with a pencil and asked, “What is this?” Since the dawn of civilization, humans have been curious about the world around them. Thales considered water to be the origin of all things. Heraclitus considered it to be fire. The focus of philosophical inquiry at that time was the universe, nature – what lies beyond the small human being. Then, as humans grew up, their curiosity expanded, towards morality, justice, family, nation and relationships between people.
Kim Dong Publishing House launches the book series "Enjoying Philosophy".
The word “philosophy” in English is “philosophy”, which comes from the ancient Greek word “philosophía”, meaning “love of wisdom”. Everyone is a philosopher by nature. Without anyone prompting us, we can ask ourselves big questions about time, happiness and the meaning of everything in life. Just having a question, sometimes surprisingly simple, that makes you ache enough and make an effort to find the answer to it, then you have lived a “philosophical life”. However, unfortunately, this innate curiosity often does not develop over time and as we grow up, the questions will disappear.
The book series "Enjoying Philosophy" is designed to tap into the spontaneous philosophical instinct in each person and develop it through stories in familiar life situations.
Enjoying philosophy is not a dry philosophy book, with all the complicated, "brain-twisting" terms, but a humorous, gentle, simple picture book, suitable for all ages to read together and express thoughts, ponder issues in contemporary society...
