Bus company speaks out about employee brawl with foreign passenger in Quang Tri

While waiting at a red light in Dong Ha City, a foreign passenger asked to go to the restroom, but the bus staff refused, and a conflict ensued.

On March 7, a representative of Hanh Luyen bus company (headquartered in Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh) spoke up to explain the incident where the bus company's staff fought with a foreign passenger.

According to the representative of Hanh Luyen bus company, the incident happened on the bus from Phong Nha to Da Nang on March 6.

At around 2:30 p.m., while the bus was stopped at a red light in Dong Ha City (Quang Tri), a foreign tourist asked to get off to use the restroom.

Although the bus staff signaled with their hands and explained that they could not stop at the red light in the city center. In addition, the bus staff also signaled that they could use the restroom in about 5 minutes at a gas station.

The fight was recorded by locals and then shared on Facebook.

"The foreign tourist stood silently in front of the bus door, not allowing the staff to close it. A moment later, the foreign tourist punched the bus staff in the face first, and the incident unfolded as shown in the clip on social media," said the bus manager.

According to the bus owner's representative, after the incident, also on the bus, both the bus conductor and the foreign passenger shook hands to reconcile. Both sides said the incident was due to a misunderstanding and shook hands to reconcile.

Previously, on Facebook, a clip was circulating recording a scene of a bus employee fighting and scuffling with a foreign passenger.

Then, another foreign tourist stepped in to intervene and pulled the bus assistant away. The clip was recorded on the sidewalk on Highway 1A passing through Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province.
