(Dan Tri) - The principal of Phan Chau Trinh High School (Da Nang) confirmed that the information that students must pay a camp fund of 5 million VND is incorrect, and the school did not direct the collection of this fund.
Recently, a social media post from an account claiming to be a student in Da Nang caused a stir when it reflected the need to pay a camp fund of up to 5 million VND. The post also complained that the school had too many extracurricular activities, making students feel tired.
According to the post, any school program must hire a choreographer at a cost of 6-8 million VND and has a choreographer "holding" nearly 10 classes.
The post caused a stir on social networks (Photo: Hoai Son).
This information has attracted public attention. Many people believe that if the information in the post is correct, the cost of the camp of 5 million VND per student is too high. However, the original post has been deleted from the original group.
The post mentioned a school with the abbreviation "PCT", leading many to assume that it was Phan Chau Trinh High School in Hai Chau District, Da Nang.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, Principal of Phan Chau Trinh High School, confirmed that this information is incorrect and the school did not direct the collection of 5 million VND for the camp fund as stated in the post.
According to Mr. Hung, this year only grade 11 will organize the traditional camp, while grades 10 and 12 will continue to study normally. Before organizing the camp, the school had a plan to deploy to homeroom teachers of each class to coordinate with parents, ensure safety and save money, avoid waste. All expenses such as food and drink at the camp will be agreed upon by homeroom teachers and parents.
After receiving information about the post, the school board checked with the homeroom teachers of the classes and confirmed that there was no money collection as stated.
Regarding the information that the school organizes too many programs and spends money on hiring choreographers, Mr. Hung said that the school only organizes necessary activities such as November 20 and March 26 celebrations to help students gain more experience and improve their skills.
School cultural activities do not require choreography, what is important is how the students perform. All cultural activities are held right at the school, no outside venues are rented.
