Located at 169 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia (District 3, HCMC), Ho Chi Minh City Children's House has a "prime" location when surrounded by major roads such as Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Tu Xuong, Le Quy Don and Vo Thi Sau.
The project is uniquely designed with design ideas based on the image of tree sprouts, bird nests and flying kites. The designer is architect Nguyen Truong Luu.
This unique architectural block consists of 5 floors (ground floor and 4 upper floors), 1 basement for parking and 1 technical mezzanine. Built on an area of 2,555m2, with a total floor area of 11,655.42m2.
The building is covered with many green areas, surrounding the building are vines and many ornamental plants.
The main lobby and main entrance are designed with many large pillars, with stairs leading to the floors. This is also the area for entertainment, recreation, and outdoor events for children.
The staircase is designed in a spiral shape, with soft, airy curves to welcome natural light. The building is surrounded by a layer of aluminum slats creating the image of a bird's nest.
This is where classes, clubs, and talent groups with over 30 subjects are organized, attracting over 30,000 children to participate in activities and study each year.
Ho Chi Minh City Children's House currently has 14 functional rooms and 23 gifted classrooms.
The rooftop area of the building is currently vacant and not used for any activities, and is planted with many trees.
The surrounding architecture is covered with a layer of vines and green trees, making the space always cool and pleasant.
The roof on the terrace surrounding the building is designed like a flying kite. The ground floor area has a green space cafe, a multi-purpose hall, a rainy day activity hall, and a waiting area for parents.
From afar, this project stands out with its unique architecture, the main white color with a green tree system covering it creates a highlight.
Many stairwells and large walls at the Children's House are painted with funny murals, suitable for children, and at the same time carry many meaningful messages about the environment, nature, islands, and family.
Along with the system of children's houses in 24 districts, the City Children's House will create more favorable conditions for children to practice skills and develop their talents. Gifted classes here are opened on weekdays, most of the activities of the Children's House will take place on weekends.
