Vietnamese designer makes his mark at New York Fashion Week 2024

Tiana Van is one of three Vietnamese designers to showcase their collections at New York Fashion Week 2024 (NYFW 2024).

With over 10 years of experience working for major brands, Tiana has honed both her experience and skills in the field of wedding dress design and tailoring. She decided to establish her own wedding dress brand called Valusta to bring the most beautiful dresses to brides.

This is also the only Vietnamese wedding brand to be presented at NYFW 2024. This collection was scheduled to be the final show of the day, and that is a source of pride for designer Tiana Van.

In addition to Tiana Van, this year's NYFW also features two famous Vietnamese designers, Do Manh Cuong with the SIXDO collection and Peter Do with the Spring Summer 2024 collection at the Helmut Lang show.

"Mr. Do Manh Cuong and Mr. Peter Do are my seniors in the fashion industry. I really admire and am proud to be with them at NYFW this year. What's special is that this year, the juniors can join them to bring national characteristics to the world ," the female designer shared.

Her wedding dress collection appeared at NYFW 2024.

Talking about the pressure of appearing at NYFW 2024, Tiana said: "At first I felt a lot of pressure, but when working with the American team, I was very surprised because they were very friendly and enthusiastic. They always want to help and create many conditions for the designers' catwalks to be the most successful. That's why their work intensity and professionalism are very high.

New York Fashion Week is warmly welcomed by the world every year and is also an event that the entire fashion world closely follows, so it is certain that the crew is always under pressure to create the most perfect catwalk, and they always do their best for that."

"This is the only Vietnamese wedding dress brand honored to be present in the international fashion show. In fact, the organizers could have chosen anyone but they chose Valusta, which touched me. I myself am very proud to have the opportunity to introduce Vietnamese wedding dresses to the world and appear in a series of leading fashion magazines," Tiana added.

Tiana Van's wedding dress designs are highly appreciated.

Designer Tiana Van was born in Vietnam. At the age of 17, she went to Australia to study. She was then recruited as a master pattern maker for Australia's largest bridal companies such as Pallas Couture and Andreatta. Through her efforts, Tiana has demonstrated her abilities in this industry and has been recognized by professionals. She has personally designed wedding dresses for Hollywood stars while working here.

Talking about her works, Tiana Van believes: “Women can work all their lives but only get married once”. Therefore, she always focuses and tries to build each of her designs into a work of art.
