According to records, in just the past month, steel companies have sent notices of steel price increases three times, along with forecasts that many other construction materials will also increase.

In the Southern region, the price of Hoa Phat steel type CB240 is at 14,710 VND/kg, type D10 CB300 is at 14,760 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Viet Duc steel type CB24 10 is at 14,850 VND/kg, type CB300 is at 15,250 VND/kg.

Viet Nhat steel type CB240 is priced at 16,670 VND/kg, type CB300 is 14,870 VND/kg.

Tubular bricks cost from 1,350 - 1,450 VND/brick, 6-hole square bricks cost 3,500 VND/brick.

Construction stone prices are also forecast to continue to increase in February due to increased demand for construction projects. Accordingly, the price of crushed stone is 200,000 VND/ ^m3 , the price of floor stone is 240,000 VND/ ^m3 ...

Mr. Truong Dinh Thi, General Director of Dori Architecture and Construction Company, said that last year, the company should have made a large profit thanks to a number of completed large projects. However, because the price of construction materials increased dramatically, the investor did not agree to increase the construction price, so the company ended up losing money. Especially since the beginning of January, many projects are preparing to start construction, so the price increase has also made the company impatient.

For the fields of transportation, infrastructure, roads and bridges,... when public investment is strongly deployed, it will certainly affect material costs.

In the stock market, as soon as the price of construction materials increased, the stock prices of some construction and building companies began to decrease, creating great pressure on businesses in this industry.
