Therefore, the announcement of Phan Dat and Phuong Lan as one of 40 couples participating in the game show "My best lover" - a Vietnamese version of the famous Korean show "My boyfriend is better" - attracted the attention of the audience. In response to concerns that Phan Dat and Phuong Lan's controversy would affect the show, Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong - the producer's representative - said that Phan Dat and Phuong Lan were just one of 40 couples participating in the show, and would not accompany each other throughout the 10 episodes.

The producer representative also added that the relationship between husband and wife or lovers is not entirely rosy and will have difficult periods. When participating in the program, the contestants must sign a contract with constraints, but love affairs are difficult to be bound by a contract.

The producer also revealed that when the scandal broke out, Phan Dat and Phuong Lan realized that their story could affect the show, so they contacted the editor and discussed it daily.

As for Phuong Lan, she attracted attention when she appeared alone at the program's premiere on October 8 without Phan Dat. When asked about her husband's recent scandals, the actress refused to share.

The show "My Best Lover" is a music competition for couples. In it, the boys will show off their singing ability, and the girls will choose to "invest" in the person they love or the voice of another boy that she thinks will win to receive the biggest prize.
