In September 2020, Wang Haoze was selected as the third batch of Chinese astronauts to carry out the mission of launching the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft. On October 30, Haoze, along with commander Cai Xuzhe and astronaut Song Lingdong, set off on a six-month mission.

Wang Haoze was born in 1990 in Hebei (China), in a family of intellectuals. She has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering & Thermal Engineering Physics from Southeast University (China). After graduating with a master's degree in plasma, in 2015, Haoze joined China Aerospace Science & Technology Corporation as a nuclear-powered rocket engine researcher.

Sharing with CCTV , Hao Trach said that during her 6 months on the space station, she mainly did preliminary research on new engines to develop future rockets to serve deep space exploration activities. With this important mission, the young Chinese astronaut devoted all her efforts to completing the assigned task.

"I never thought that a space scientist like me would become an astronaut. For me, this is both an opportunity and a challenge." During the training process, to pass the rigorous tests, the female astronaut had to face countless difficulties.

The biggest challenge was that Hao Ze had to face a centrifuge that simulated the gravity force of a spaceship six times stronger. The first time he practiced, Hao Ze had difficulty breathing, feeling as if his lungs were being torn apart. Overcoming his fear, Hao Ze did not press the alarm.

Despite the harsh training process, Hao Trach did not think of giving up. In addition to actively learning from the experiences of his seniors and seriously following the coach's requirements, Hao Trach said that he always kept an optimistic spirit to complete the challenge well.

Among the seven people selected for the third batch of astronauts, Hao Ze has the advantage in terms of professional knowledge but his physical condition is a barrier. To pursue his dream of becoming an astronaut, Hao Ze has to make great efforts, far beyond what ordinary people can imagine.

From a researcher to an astronaut carrying out the mission of launching Shenzhou-19, Hao Trach realized that his responsibility was relatively great: "Before, when doing scientific work, I also had pressure but not as much as this. Among thousands of space technology researchers, I was chosen so I must do well. I will try my best to respond to the trust of the country and the people."

Before leaving, Hao Trach said that his thoughts were focused on doing a good job on the space station. "We are on a road less traveled, but I like it. If it is full of thorns, we will charge forward together," Hao Trach said.
